Talie's Cherry Fruit Tart -Gluten Free

INGREDIENTS
1 cup almond meal
½ cup plain flour or ½ cup gluten free plain flour
2 eggs
125g melted butter
¾ cup caster sugar
rind 1 lemon
2 cups of frozen or fresh berries (raspberries, strawberries or blueberries) or 2 tins of drained cherries (Frozen)
Double cream and icing sugar to serve

METHOD
Pre-heat oven to 180˚C or 160˚C fan-forced. Spray a 23cm loose bottom fluted flan dish with cooking spray. 
In a bowl mix together the first 6 ingredients. Stir through the fruit reserving some for the top of the tart.
Pour into a greased flan dish. Decorate the top with the reserved fruit.
Bake for 35 – 40 minutes.
Serve with double cream and a dusting of icing.

I got this recipe from Talei the wife of a guy who works with my husband who we became friends with. It was so delicious and so simple to make I just had to have the recipe. Every time I make it to take to a function some one asks for the recipe. I lost this recipe a few years back and so did Talei and couldn’t find it anywhere. At a friends house for lunch one day, Julie came up to me and said she loved the berry tart recipe I gave her and that she makes it all the time. Julie emailed me the recipe and I was so happy to have it in my hands again
